Frequently Asked Questions (Toronto)

Are your court rates priced per table or per person?

Our court rates are per table, not guest.

How do I go about making a reservation at SPiN?

All guests of SPiN are welcome to book court time in advance at the rate of $60 per table, per hour. Guests who are less concerned with securing court time are welcome to walk-in and pay the "walk-in" rate, however there are no guarantees that courts will be available.

What are your "walk-in" rates?

The "walk-in" price for courts BEFORE 5pm is $20 per table, per hour and $28 per table, per hour AFTER 5pm. Members have the luxury of paying half price on court time (please see membership benefits for more information), therefore the price for members is $10 per table, per hour BEFORE 5pm and $14 per table, per hour AFTER 5pm.

What is a Group Reservation?

A Group Reservation is a reservation consisting of fewer than 30 guests and does not include any pre arranged catering or bar packages. If you would like to make a reservation for more than 30 guests and arrange catering or a bar package please send an email to All Group Reservation inquiries and bookings can be made through or by calling the Front Desk at SPiN at 416-599-7746.

When do you recommend reserving court time as opposed to walking in?

Our busiest times are Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights so reservations are definitely recommended. Since we host many events at SPiN, there is a chance that a typically slower time will in fact be very busy. A good rule of thumb is; if you need the security of knowing court time is set aside for you, then book. If you are alright with taking your chances and hanging out at the bar if we're full, then don't book. It's completely up to you!

Can I cancel a reservation?

Guests are welcome to cancel reservations up to 24 hours before its start time. If a guest fails to arrive for their reserved court time, the total court price will be charged to the credit card number taken when securing the reservation.

How far in advance can I book court time?

Guests are welcome to book as far in advance as they would like, however we do reserve the right to reschedule a booking made more that 3 weeks in advance due to the popularity of the club for events. This is not a common occurrence though, and guests will always be notified well in advance. Members have the luxury of booking up to 5 days in advance and simply pay their membership court rates ($10/hr before 5pm and $14/hr after 5pm). Any bookings made by members more than 5 days in advance are priced at $60 per table, per hour.

How many guests can I include in my reservation?

We do not recommend more than 10 people on one court as it tends to become crowded. Guests are always welcome to hang out at the bar if space is limited at your court.

Can I reserve tables for dining?

There is no formal dining area at SPiN since our menu items are designed to be eaten while guests take a break from ping pong. Guests who have booked court time may eat at one of the small lounge areas beside each court or at one of the picnic benches placed throughout the club. Guests without court time are welcome to dine at the bar or pre-book one of the picnic tables, however space is limited during peak times and cannot be guaranteed.

Do you charge a cover?

There is no cover charge at SPiN.

Is your club wheelchair accessible?

Unfortunately due to the fact that we are located in a century-old building, we are not wheelchair accessible. Our friendly staff would be more than happy to accommodate a guest down our front steps however our bathrooms are not wheelchair accessible and exiting the building during an emergency may be difficult for certain guests.

Are there any age restrictions for guests?

All guests must be of legal drinking age by 9pm in order to remain in the space. Special circumstances (such as events) may allow minors to be wrist-banded however this would need to be arranged in advance in order to notify all staff.

There is no dress code at the club...formal tennis whites and stiletto heels welcome!
